Lauren Conrad's Final Words On The Hills

Lauren Conrad was rumoured to be earning around $75,000 per episode as the leading lady on The Hills, but even she admitted she was well, kinda boring and the show was well, kinda fake...

"The last couple seasons I didn't even do much. I narrated and I made expressions, so I slowly slowly moved my personal life off camera and I was at a point where it wasn't even fair for me to be a part of the show because it wasn't my real life anymore. I watched my parts to make sure I didn't do anything too stupid but I think that when you're involved in the making of a show you kind of lose the entertainment value, it’s just part of your job. I've never been the kind of person to like that attention. I value my personal time especially when I was filming because I had very little of it, but now that I've gotten it back you realize how valuable it is. Now I have more time and more free time and I've focused more and tried new things and I stopped filming and was like ‘I'm going to take up hobbies’ so I took up photography, dance classes and then I started writing again and realized I had no time!"

Lauren Conrad Tunes Audrina Out

Perhaps it’s because she’s now a bestselling author, but Hills star Lauren Conrad isn’t watching much TV these days and that includes her former co-star Audrina Patridge’s upcoming reality show.

Lauren told E! Online last night, “I don’t like to watch people I know on TV… it’s weird. Even friends of mine that are actors, I don’t like to watch their shows. There’s just something weird about it.” Could she be referencing her boyfriend actor Kyle Howard’s show? Maybe he refuses to read her book too.

Lauren now lives in a condo with Lo Bosworth and says she chooses not to watch The Hills either. Lauren said, “I haven’t been following it and we don’t really talk about it in the apartment, so I don’t really think about it.”

Lo doesn’t mind the lack of support for her show because she says she plans to leave it soon as well. “I guess we’re waiting to see if there’s going to be another season or not, but I’m leaning towards being done,” Lo said. She plans on starting a hosting career and Lauren plans to write more books and has a clothing line coming out at Kohl’s.

Realty TV watching of former co-stars is definitely not included in their future plans.

Whitney Port Eases Her Way into the Weekend

Gearing up for a fun-filled weekend, Whitney Port was spotted making her way around the East Village of New York City on Friday (September 25).

The MTV beauty strolled about the Big Apple streets, fresh off of a morning visit to PIX 11 studios and a change of clothes.

Meanwhile, Miss Port’s new roomie, Roxy Olin, recently chatted to press about meeting Whitney and getting used to the constant camera coverage.

Asked about first meeting her new roommate, Olin said, “I met Whitney when we were in high school. I’ve grown up with Whitney and I danced with her for four years in high school, and our boyfriends were best friends, so we were always friends. We went our separate ways, but we reconnected instantly. We hang out everyday.”

As for getting used to the cameras, Roxy said, “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve liked to perform. I like the attention; I’ll be honest. Whitney is so used to it that I had to jump in really quickly to get as comfortable as she is. I was like, ‘You’re really going to wake up and go on camera right now?’ I was like, ‘I’m going to wake up at 6 and put on a little bit of makeup.” And then you just decide to stop doing that.’”

Whitney Port: PIX 11 Promoter

Tending to her all-important promotional duties, Whitney Port dropped by PIX 11 Morning News studios in New York City on Friday (September 25).

Dressed in a cheerful multi-tone blue frock, the MTV beauty smiled as she posed for a few pictures upon finishing up her interview session.

Premiering on September 29th, Whit recently chatted on her pal, Olivia Palermo, and her role on the second season of The City.

Asked if the two hang out much, Whit replied, “She has her own story arc — she’s working with this girl Erin in publicity at Elle. Olivia doesn’t need me to be part of the show. There’s points in the season where we work together or I see her at certain events or whatnot, but we have our own things going on.”

Stephanie Pratt: Maxim Party Girl

Enjoying a night out on the town, Stephanie Pratt attended the Maxim party at Ecco Ultra Lounge in Hollywood last night (September 24).

Looking sexy in a peach off-the-shoulder maxi dress, the Hills hottie was on-hand celebrating the new October issue of the men’s magazine which features a bikini-clad Audrina Patridge on the cover.

Meanwhile, Stepahie spent the earlier part of the day shooting scenes for The Hills alongside Audrina and fellow co-star Lauren Bosworth.

As for the hit reality show, which returns with the season premiere of September 29th, Miss Pratt recently spoke about her feelings towards Kristin Cavallari, telling, “If she’s going in the direction she’s going, which is a non-Justin Bobby direction, it’s great, because maybe Audrina can somehow work it [their problems] out,. But if she’s going in that direction, that means she’s possibly gonna be dating someone that I don’t like, and that’ll be hard.”

Keeping an eye on her killer physique, Kristin Cavallari was spotted filming workout scenes for The Hills on the beach in Malibu yesterday (September 24).

The Laguna Beach babe went through a fitness routine along with the help of a large rubber ball, and she made sure she looked cute as she broke a sweat, sporting a grey v-neck top with black shorts and black sneakers.

Kristin Cavallari was all smiles as she left the Neil George hair salon in Beverly Hills on Thursday (September 25).

The 22-year-old former Laguna Beach star has said that she regrets creating Speidi (Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag). “I want to apologize to everybody, I had no idea what it would turn into,” Kristin told the NY Post.
